Earned my stripes as a digital nomad living and working in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, London, Vancouver and Wellington, NZ over the years. All the studios spread out all over the world chasing the tax incentives. It was a challenging time but it also gave many of us the chance to live out in the world. I learned a lot and made lots of good friends along the way. Turning up in a bar in Wellington, NZ to recognize a whole bunch of old co-workers from other countries was a wonderfully rare experience. 

Never made it to ILM sadly but have worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation, Sony Imageworks, Digital Domain, DNEG, MPC, ESC and Scanline. It’s a challenging industry to be sure but I’m very lucky to have come along in the “Golden Age” of computer based visual effects in LA. I’ve had the chance to work with some of the most gifted people in the industry doing lighting and compositing work on many of the big blockbuster movies of the time. We made many new things that people hadn’t seen before.

I will always be grateful for these opportunites and all the good friends I’ve made along the way.
